Baldwin Gerard “Wynn” Locher III was born in Lexington, Virginia, on May 26, 1981, and had a very busy childhood. Wynn was an active member of Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop 29, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout on August 15, 1997. He was also an acolyte at Grace Episcopal Church, active in the local chapter of the Children of the American Revolution, where he held several local offices and was the Virginia State Treasurer in 1998, and was a member of the Rockbridge Chapter of 4-H, earning the honor of 4-H All Star.
After high school, Wynn went on to attend the Virginia Military Institute and the Jefferson College of Health Sciences, where, in 2005, he earned a degree in Fire and EMS Technology and was certified as a Paramedic. After graduation, Wynn worked as a firefighter medic and flight paramedic in northern Virginia and Baltimore before returning to Lexington in 2019. These days, Wynn is a firefighter and paramedic with multiple agencies, an entrepreneur and property manager, and an aspiring farmer.
Wynn was raised as a Master Mason by his father, Baldwin G. “Gerry” Locher, Jr., on March 24, 2011, in Mountain City Lodge No. 67. He is also a member of Glasgow Masonic Lodge No. 233 where he served as the Worshipful Master in 2024. He also holds membership in Rockbridge Royal Arch Chapter No. 44, Moomaw Commandery No. 27, and the Valley of Roanoke Scottish Rite.
Wynn lives in Lexington, Virginia, with his girlfriend, Victoria, and dog, Finnegan.
