Mr. E. P. Dold Buried Friday
The remains of Mr. Edwin Porter Dold, who died in Philadelphia early Monday morning of last week of heart trouble, reached Lexington Thursday night and were placed in the Presbyterian lecture room for the right. They were buried in the Lexington cemetery Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Dr Alfred T. Graham and Rev. Dr. Charles Manly officiating at the grave. The youngest son of Mr. Dold, Mr. Coe Dold, accommied the body from Philadelphia. A sister also and her, husband, Mr. J. W, Sands of Richmond were present at the burial.
Mr. Dold was the eldest son of the late Mr. William Dold of Lexington. He was born in this community about 56 years ago. He was reared here and for a time was associated with his father in the mercantile business, He was twice married, his first wife being Miss Fannie Coe, daughter of Mr. Wilson P. Coe, who died many years ago. Four children of this marriage survive. His second wife and one child also survive.
