Brent Everett Buswell, 2022
Brent Everett Buswell was born in Dallas, Texas, on November 20 1990. After moving to Oklahoma City when he was two-years-old, he graduated from Putnam City North High School in 2009. After graduation, Brent attended the University of Oklahoma where he was initiated into Beta Eta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order and served as Historian, Recording Secretery, and President. While in school, he was a member of the JCPenney Leadership Program and partcipated in the Integrated Business Core Program. In May of 2013, he graduated with a B.B.A. in Marketing.
Following an internship with the digital marketing firm Aria Media in Dallas, Texas, Brent moved to Lexington, Virginia, in May of 2014, to join the staff of the National Administrative Office of Kappa Alpha Order. He served as an associate director for chapter services, traveling and servicing chapters of the fraternity in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, eastern Arkansas, western Tennessee, northern Texas, and North Carolina. In 2015, he was promoted to Director of Communications where he is responsible for implementing the marketing and communications strategy for the national men’s fraternity. Additionally, he currently serves as the Director of Finance for the Fraternity Communications Association.
Upon moving to Lexington, Brent joined the Lexington-Rockbridge Jaycees (Junior Chamber) and quickly became involved, serving as Vice President of Communications and two terms as President. In 2020, he was appointed to serve the Virginia Jaycees as Membership Vice President, and throughout 2021, he led the Virginia Jaycees as their 87th President. At the 2021 Annual Meeting of JCI USA (United States Jaycees), Brent was elected as one of six National Vice Presidents for 2022, with Marketing as his area of focus.
Brent was rasied as a Master Mason in Mountain City Lodge No. 67, in Lexington, Virginia, on October 27, 2016. He also holds membership in Rockbrige Royal Arch Chapter No. 44 and Moomaw Commandery No. 27.
Brent lives in Lexington, Virginia, with his fiancé, Ms. Jordan McNabb, and their cat Pip and kitten Rocky.
