C. W. Watts, 1907
Member of Kappa Sigma: Lexington, Va., January 15.–At the midwinter meeting of the board of visitors of the Virginia Military Institute, held in Lexington to-day, Major C. W. Watts [Washington and Lee], associate professor of mathematics, was elected professor, and Major Francis H. Smith, of Staunton, was elected associate professor, effective July 1, 1909. Major Watts is from Norfolk, and graduated from the Institute in 1893. For two years thereafter he taught in the Danville Military Academy. Since that time he has been connected with the Virginia Military Institute.—Richmond Times-Dispatch
