Edward J. Deaver
Lexington – Edward Jacobs Deaver, 69, of 308 S. Main St. died Friday (June 15, 1984) after a long illness at the McVitty House, Salem. 
He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lexington, the Masonic Lodge and Kazim Temple. 
Survivors include his widow Hattie (Blackburn) Deaver of Lexington; two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. Straub III of Roanoke and Mrs. Karl F. Hehl Jr. of Warrenton, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Calhoun of Jacksonville, Fla., and five grandchildren. 
Memorial services were held 4 p.m. Sunday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. 
Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, or Lexington Rescue Squad.
John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem, handled arrangements.
