Trestleboard: January 2020 Mountain City Lodge No. 67 - Lexington, Virginia From the East Brethren, Membership Recognition Night is scheduled for our next stated meeting. I hope we can have a great crowd as we recognize everyone for their commitment to the Lodge and years of masonic membership. Please review our calendar as we have a lot of upcoming degrees, practices, and events in the coming weeks and months. I would ask everyone to please keep Richard Kaufrman’s family in our prayers and make every effort to attend his funeral service next Monday. We will be conducting a Masonic Funeral per his wishes. His services will be this Monday, February 3rd at 2pm at New Providence Presbyterian Church - 1208 New Providence Rd, Raphine, VA 24472. There will be military honors at the grave and a masonic service in the church along with the funeral. As a reminder, please make sure your contact information is updated with R.W. Lyons for the Lodge Directory. You should have received a copy of the directory, if not please see extra copies on R.W. Lyons desk. Pay online at MountainCityMasonicLodge.org or by mail at 103 W Nelson St, Lexington, VA.   Submit Dues York Rite Updates Moomaw Commandery of Knights Templar No. 27 Rockbridge Royal Arch Chapter No. 44   Royal Arch Degree Festival - Saturday, February 29, 2020 Have you been wanting to continue your Masonic journey and gain additional light? The 6 degrees in the Royal Arch are essential to learning more about masonry, connecting the dots in the three degrees and beyond, and more. Rockbridge No. 44 is home to forty Royal Arch masons and we’d love for you to join us.  An opportunity that comes one a year or two is happening on February 29. From 8am to 2pm in our Lodge, all degrees will be conferred so you can join in one day. The cost is $50 and our annual dues are $45. Contact Secretary Brent Buswell or High Priest Jesse Lyons to petition. The Royal Arch and Knights Templar are two more York Rite masonic groups you may join and they both meet in Mountain City Lodge. If you’d like to learn more about these two smaller masonic organizations, contact Jesse Lyons or reply to this email. Eagle Scout Presentation Night January 6, 2020   At the January Stated Communication, Wor. Master Brent Fellows, assisted by R.W. Jack Glisson, presented several Eagle Scout recognition certificates provided by the Grand Lodge of Virginia and signed by Most Worshipful Douglas Vernon Jones, Grand Master of Masons in Virginia.
